The "Boca" Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) includes two types of wine: Red and Red Riserva.

Physicochemical and Organoleptic properties
The red (minimum total alcoholic strength by volume 12% vol.) has a ruby red color with garnet highlights, the smell is characteristic, fine and ethereal, the flavor is dry, sapid, harmonious and rightly tannic. The Riserva version (12% vol.) on the other hand has a ruby red colour with orange reflections, the aroma is characteristic, fine, ample and ethereal, the taste is dry, savoury, harmonious, elegant and rightly tannic.
Grape production area
The area where Boca is grown is hilly and is characterised by the presence of morainic soil, with a very variable composition of clay, sand, granite pebbles, porphyry and flaking of dolomite rocks.
Specificity and historical notes
The winemaking tradition in the production area of Boca has very ancient origins, which date back to before the Roman colonization. The continuous improvement of cultivation and wine-making techniques over the centuries has allowed us to reach the quality level of the wines of the current denomination.
