Valdadige Terradeiforti o Terradeiforti

The Protected Designation of Origin "Valdadige Terradeiforti" or "Terradeiforti" includes the following types of wine: Enantio, Enantio Riserva, Casetta, Casetta Riserva, Pinot Grigio and Pinot Grigio Superiore.


Grapes

The Enantio, Casetta and Pinot Grigio, both in the basic, reserve and superior versions, are composed of at least 85% of grapes of the same variety. Grapes from similarly colored berry varieties, suitable for cultivation in the provinces of Verona and Trento, may also be added, up to a maximum of 15%.


Physicochemical and Organoleptic properties

The red wines Casetta and Enantio, basic version (vol. 12%) and Riserva (vol. 12.5%), have an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections when aged, the scent is fruity, characteristic and slightly spicy, the flavor is dry, full and harmonious. On the other hand, the white wines Pinot Grigio and Pinot Grigio Superiore (vol. 11% and 12%) have the characteristic straw yellow colour, sometimes copper, the aroma is pleasant and fruity, the taste is dry, full and harmonious.


Grape production area

The production area of 'Valdadige Terradeiforti' is of the medium-hilly type; the sloping soils, characterised by a high skeleton content, favour the draining of rainwater and perfect oxygenation of the roots.


Specificity and historical notes

The wine-growing tradition in the production area of the "Valdadige Terradeiforti", has its roots in the Middle Ages, during which it originated and then developed for a long time.
