Colline Teatine

Colline Teatine PDO extra virgin olive oil is obtained by pressing olives of the "Gentile variety of Chieti", "Leccino", "Moraiolo" and "Nebbio". In the olive groves these varieties can compete for a maximum of 10%. The geographical indications are as follows: "Frentano" and "Vastese".


Grapes

When released for consumption, the oil has a colour that varies from green to yellow. The additional geographical indication "Frentano" is green with golden reflections and the additional geographical indication "Vastese" goes from green to yellow. Colline Teatine PDO has a fruity flavour. The olives are picked directly from the tree by hand or by mechanical means. As provided for in the product specification, only the mechanical and physical processes required to ensure that the oils are obtained without altering the quality characteristics of the fruit may be used for extraction.


Packaging

Consumers identify Colline Teatine extra virgin olive oil thanks to the label that clearly indicates the name of the Protected Designation of Origin, the name of the production company and the year of harvest.
